Dalewood is a charitable trust currently offering support services for adults with learning disabilities living in the Whitby area. Dalewood was established in 1981 by a group of local parents with children needing specialist care.
We can support you to access community activities such as leisure interests, adult education, volunteering and work experience. If you have higher or complex needs we will support you with access, personal/dietary needs, physiotherapy and communication.
The cafés give our adults the opportunity to work in a busy community environment.
Dalewood offers a Shopping Service for elderly and housebound people in the Whitby area.
Our service users enjoy a variety of activities including gardening, woodworking cooking and crafts.
We offer a Laundry Service for elderly and housebound people in Whitby and the surronding area.
